Synopsis:

The Enneagram is a personality typing system that has been widely studied and applied worldwide in leadership development, coaching and other business areas. It describes nine personality types, each with likely obstacles and pitfalls along the way.

Each style has its own natural gifts, limitations, and blind spots, its own distinctive ways of thinking, acting and being. Each relishes particular information – facts, feelings and understandings – while ignoring other information, especially anything that doesn’t fit preconceived notions or inclinations.

The Enneagram explores unconscious assumptions – closely held opinions, inclinations and expectations – that we barely knew we had but which drive the way we see ourselves, do our work, relate to colleagues and make decisions. Instead of operating out of habit, change the lenses through which you see the world, with clear intent and awareness and invoke your untapped reservoir of talents and skills in this workshop.

Workshop Outline

–  Understand your personality type using the Enneagram Personality Profiling

 – Gain insights on communication strengths and blind spots of each Enneagram type

– Leveraging on Enneagram to develop your stage presence and to enhance your communication skills

Listen In The Present, Communicate Into The Future – Workshop was a success!

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind wanting to start again, just because no ones ever pay attention to you when you speak? Don’t you just love it when people listen to you? I mean “listen”, really listen, hanging on to your every breath, stretching each and every one of their fibrous sinews to understand, truly understand not only the words that you say, but also the meaning you wish to convey?

Well, participants of this workshop see how improving their listening skills will help you be listened to more. The more that you model great listening skill to others, the more you will be able to influence them.

On 13th December 2014, Listen In The Present, Communicate Into The Future by Patrick O’Brien, organised by SIM 1 Toastmasters club. Look out for more coming workshops in 2015.
